Derby Cathedral & Derby Cathedral Centre: features of the Cathedral include: The Tower (1530) 212 feet (64cm) high, the view from the top spans 3 counties. Monument to Elizabeth Countess of Shrewsbury (1607) better known as Bess of Hardwick, she is buried in the vault below. Modern stained glass windows (1965) designed around the themes of All Souls and All Saints by Carl Richards. The Nave designed by James Gibbs (1725). Cathedral Centre includes Gift Shop, Coffee Shop, Treasury, Exhibition are, Garden and Library.

Derby City Museum and Art Gallery: displays of Derby porcelain, paintings by Joseph Wright ARA(1734-97), antiquities, social history, archaeology, natural history, a military gallery and holiday activities for children. There are also temporary exhibitions.

Elvaston Castle Country Park: A 200-acre country park with woodland, landscaped parkland, a lake, formal and old English gardens with an exhibition, shop, and tearoom.

The Bottle Kiln: a fine art gallery with a new exhibition every month. There is also a craft gallery with hand-crafted artefacts from around the world, a gift shop containing an excellent selection of cards, jewellery and general high-quality gift items. The Buttery cafe serve wholesome home-made food. All this is in an attractive landscaped setting with a Japanese style tea garden and a unique renovated bottle-necked kiln.

Brocks Hill Country Park and Visitor Centre: An amazing centre built to demonstrate wind and solar power, photovoltaics, rainwater re-cycling and sewage composting. Exhibition area, self guided tours and classroom facilities. Set in 67-acres of newly planted country park with woodland, meadowland, community orchard, arboretum, play area and human sun dial.

National Space Centre: The National "Space Centre is the UK's largest attraction dedicated to "space. From the minute you catch sight of the futuristic "Rocket Tower, you'll be treated to hours of breathtaking " discovery. On your visit to the National Space Centre you will find yourself immersed in an awe-inspiring journey, taking in five differently themed galleries, seeing amazing space rockets, satellites and capsules, taking part in hundreds of interactive hands-on activities and experiencing the latest in audiovisual technology.

Northampton – England`s largest town is a vibrant energetic place by day and by night. Once famous around the world as England`s `shoe town`, it is now beginning to be known as `motor city` with Silverstone Circuit, Santa Pod and Rockingham speedways close-by.

Abington Museum: a Grade 1 Listed building set in an attractive public park which includes a museum of social and military history. Displays include Northampton life from the cradle to the grave, a room with 16thC oak panelling, a Victorian cabinetof curiosities, the history of the building, Northamptonshire military history at home and abroad and a 19thC fashion gallery.

Billing Aquadrome Adventure Park: Billing Aquadrome is an established leisure holiday park catering for touring caravans, tents and full-service holiday caravans, set in 235 acres of parkland, woods and lakes. Facilities include an amusement centre, boating, coarse fishing and free children's play areas.

Northampton Museum and Art Gallery: is home to one of the world's largest collections of shoes. 'Life and Sole' gallery - the history of footwear and its manufacture. 'Followers of Fashion' gallery - how shoes have been in fashion through the ages, from Ferragamo to Vivienne Westwood. Both galleries have recently been refurbished to include interactive elements for children.
